We want to commend you for taking on the responsibility of caring for your new pet. This little one
will be depending on you, much the same way a small child depends on it parents. Young pets are
susceptible to getting sick easily because their immune system is just developing. Therefore you
should take care, to keep your new pet in an environment where it will not be exposed to cold,
damp or drafty conditions. Please take the time to read all of the paperwork that has been given
to you to assist you in making the best decisions for the overall care of your pet.
Additionally please know that keeping and caring for your new pet is not only a physical commitment
but a financial one as well. Your pet's first year of life is the most expensive, after that
routine maintenance, twice yearly checkups, and preventative care, makes pet ownership enjoyable
as well as very manageable.
In your pet's first year of life you will need to have the following addressed:
Initial Doctor Examination/ Health Check
Parasite Screening / Deworming
Medications to rid your pet of the parasites
Possible ear cleaning and care
Flea Control Medications
Initial Vaccinations and follow-up Boosters
Micro-Chipping (In the event your pet wanders off)
Spay or Neuter
Thank you! We welcome you and your pets to our family!
